What We Do
Soccer Academies
They are provided as an after school program at no cost to students ranging in ages from six to twelve years old. Programs are run during the school calendar year from September to June. Before training sessions, students are assisted with their homework by tutors and volunteers. Good grades, good attendance and good conduct are required to continue in the program.
The training sessions include a minimum of 60 minutes of moderate to rigorous activity with a focus on balance, coordination, technique, conditioning and teamwork. Also, every session dedicates time to nutritional education and discussions. All Coaches are certified and several have USSF 'A' licenses, the highest coaching certificate available in the United States.
Since our start in 2008 with 68 kids in 2
academies, we have grown to serve 1662 kids in 23 academies. Locations include Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn and
Manhattan in New York and Newark, Trenton and Camden in
New Jersey. Our various program are targeted to serve
vulnerable children, 80% of the children we serve receive free
or reduced rate lunches.
